Ruapuna variety
Concern for petrol conservation has caused the abandonment of a 200 km race for production saloons at Ruapuna tomorrow. Instead, a varied programme will include rally cars, O.S.C.A. championship round, motor-cycles, formula libre, production saloons, and cars usually only seen at Woodford Glen—C grade saloons. The opening of the pit area was to have coincided
with the 200 km race, but the pits will not now open until next season. O.S.C.A. entrants include lan Munt (Christchurch, Capri), Inky Tulloch (Ma< taura, Chev. Capri), Kevin Ryan (Timaru, Escort BDD), and Barry Vuyk (Dunedin, Sunbeam Stiletto). Because of the varied pro« gramme, the organisers hope for a larger crowd than at the March 4 meeting, when 1500 attended.
