Duckshooting plea
More ducks will fall from the sky this season if hunters take up the plea of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society’s secretary (Mr B. F. Webb). A population boom in ducks has meant that more than the usual 20 per cent will have to be killed this season or they will wreak'
havoc on crops, ; Mr Webb said, however, it - was unlikely that the bag ■ limit of 25 a day would be i increased because there was not enough time. With low cloud forecast : for today ducks should be flying low, promising a good opening to the season, Mr 'Webb said.
