Goat theft charge
PA Timaru A Lake Tekapo man charged with the theft of an Angora goat, valued at $5OOO, from near Greymouth last week-end appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Timaru yesterday. He was not asked to plead to the charge of theft of the goat and also a Saanen-Brit-ish Alpine kid, valued at $5O, and was remanded on bail of $4OO to appear on May 2. Mr C. A. Barlow, J.P., granted an order for interim suppression of the defendant’s name and occupation.
