THE JOB: The successful applicant will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of plant facilities in the workshop complex area comprising fabrication, machine shop, garage servicing and reconditioning. Experience with heavy diesel operated mobile equipment would be an advantage coupled with an all-round mechanical maintenance background. Maintenance Supervisors head the two other main areas of the plant which uses modern sophisticated processes and manufacturing equipment and an interchange of these positions is planned to provide wider opportunities of job training and experience. The person appointed would be aided by a number of maintenance forepersons in directing and controlling all mechanical maintenance efforts in the area. THE PERSON: Ideally the successful applicant should be professionally qualified and hold a mechanical degree or equivalent and have had a substantial amount of experience in heavier industries in positions of supervision involving managing staff.
