Contest to highlight plight of crippled
PA Wellington As part of its "barrier free" campaign and to mark the International Year of the Child, the Crippled Children Society will hold a national competition for schoolchildren, i Children will be asked I to work in groups and 1 prepare a project on access problems, and solu- I tions, in their community I for crippled people. “The project must fulfil I certain criteria, but its fina.' form is open wide.” says Mr Terry Broad, access problems, and solutions, in their community “We are looking for taped interviews, plays, essays, displays — all the inventivness kids can show,” he said. The Crippled Children Society has prepared teacher kits containing class notes, teacher’s notes, and resource material, which will be sent to classes on request. The first teacher’s kit was presented to the principal of the Wellington Correspondence School I (Mr Ormond Tait).
