Allied Mills div. raised
NZPA Sydney In spite of a rise of only 6.3 per cent in sales, Allied Mills, Ltd, flour millers, raised group net profit 62 per cent to $Au5t4,059,000 in the six months to February 28. Barring unforeseen circumstances the year’s results would show a comparable improvement, the directors say. The profit was after providing SI.7M more for tax at $2,334,000, but the directors said “there were again benefits resulting x from investments allowances." Interest charges fell $145,000 to $1,812,000 with depreciation down $39,000 to $2,470,000. The interim dividend has been increased from 3.75 c a share to 4.25 c a share (8.5 per cent).;
