N.Z. MARKET RECOVERS SLIGHTLY
Although falls outnumbered rises by more than two to one yesterday, the New Zealand sharemarket recovered slightly from the beating it took on Wednesday. N.Z. Forest Products remained steady at 232 c. and other market leaders including Fletcher and Lion Breweries recovered a few cents. Radio Avon rose 5c to 310 c despite announcing a 13 per cent drop in ratings, but N.Z. Light Leathers eased 10c to 95c after reporting a loss in its latest 15 month period.
