Five New Zealand hotels specially for delegates

Inns of the Pacific Limited is one of New Zealand’s most rapidly expanding hotel chains, currently operating 14 hotels in the country and five in Fiji.

Of these, five are particularly designed with business gatherings and conferences in mind. They are situated in Auckland, Palmerston North, Picton, Christchurch and Queenstown. strategically placed for the tour operators of New Zealand. Flexibility and individuality are key notes in the chain’s success, with each hotel designed to suit its particular market, rather than incorporating a standardised chain image. Inns of the Pacific offers a new dimension to conferences — with luxurious modern settings, all essential conference equipment and services, and bars, restaurants and leisure facilities where you can relax. Whether the conference you are planning is

a small company seminar or one where you will be entertaining delegates from all over the world, reliable accommodation and service can be arranged.

Each hotel has a functions manager who specifically deals with conferences.

The Chateau Regency, in Christchurch, New Zealand’s most prestigious hotel, caters for up to 600 people at any one conference. Services and equipment include a public address system, full cine projection facilities, secretarial services, photocopy machine, travel desk, dance floor, full food and liquor service.

Functions manager for the Lakeland Inn, Queenstown, Mr Peter Doyle, has received enquiries for bookings up to 1984.

The ten storey hotel is situated on the shores of .Lake Wakatipu. The Ben Lomond Restaurant on the sixth level has panoramic views of the lake and foreshore and the capacity to seat up to 300 people. The various conference rooms allow you to select a venue appropriate to the number of delegates. Conferences that have been held at the Lakeland Inn in Queenstown include the Australian Road Transport Authority Conference and the World Ikebana Conference. Inns of the Pacific hotels in Auckland, Palmerston North and Picton specialise in the smaller conference, catering for 60 to 100 people.
