Nelson Easter bowls
Nelson reporter The Richmond four of Roy Savage won the Nelson Bowling Centre’s Easter Fours Tournament by trouncing the Brightwater four of Alan Nimmo 28-7 in the final yesterday. The bowling however was indifferent and in no way measured up to the quarterfinals and semi-finals played earlier in the day, In these five matches the biggest
winning margin was only two, and often the outcome was decided on the last bowl. Yesterday’s results: Nimmo 17, C. P. Walsh (United, Nelson) 16, R. Hewitt (South Brighton) 14, R. Morrison (Tawa, Services) 13, A. De Lorenzo (Maitai) 16. H. Lane (Riwaka) 15, Savage 20, V. Mcßrydie (Stoke) 19. Semi-finals: Nimmo 14, Hewitt 13, Savage 20, De Lorenzo 18.
