In particular, the university is seeking a person who is able to teach over a wide range of branches of mathematics at. all undergraduate levels. Candidates with research interests in mathematical cognitive processes (i.e. the learning of mathematical ways of thinking) and in the history of mathematical ideas are especially encouraged to apply. THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN EDUCATION (ENGLISH METHODS) (POST 79/23) APPLICATIONS are invited for the post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Education (English Methods). Candidates should have at least a master’s degree in the teaching of English as a second language. The appointee will be required to train teachers of English in secondary schools for the University Region. A post-graduate certificate or degree in education is desirable as the position requires substantial experience in teacher education at diploma and degree levels. Candidates should indicate their special research interests in the problems of language teaching and learning in bilingual situations. Tlie appointee may be required to supervise graduate students in their research in the problems of teaching English as a second language in the University Region. Salary in accordance with qualifications and experience in the following scales:
