PA Wellington The Auckland yachtsman, Gary Coleman, completed a notable treble on Wellington Harbour yesterday. Sailing Big Bananas, Coleman won the national Javelin championships to round off a highly successful season. Earlier in the year the Aucklander had won both the Auckland and North Island titles.

Crewing with Coleman during the last three days W’as Nigel Sibun — a late replacement for Lindsay Kennedy, who remained int Auckland for a family wedding. Coleman and Sibun made a slow start to the championships. They were never in contention in the opening race on Saturday morning, but improved to win three of the next four races and I sneak away with the title
