Appeal brings $66,000
PA Auckland A radio appeal to raise money for the accommodation of the parents of sick children in the Princess Mary Children’s Hospital at Auckland has collected pledges worth $66,000. The “Radiothon” appeal was staged by Radio New Zealand’s Auckland community station, IZB. The money, which the organisers hope will eventually reach a total of $90,000, will be used to build accommodation for the parents and close relatives of children receiving treatment in the Princess Mary Hospital.
