Public Notices CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL PROPOSED ALTERATION TO THE NAME OF CASTLETOWN STREET PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council, at an Ordinary Meeting held in the City Council Chambers, 194 Manchester Street, Christchurch 1, at 7.30 p.m., on Monday, the 19th day of March, 1979, passed the following resolution by way of Special Order: “Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 170 and 189 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order, to alter the name of Castletown Street as follows; (1) The northern part of Castletown Street running east and then south off Bower Avenue be altered to "Castletown Place.’ (2) The middle portion of Castletown Street running north off Thurso Street, become, an extension to Thurso Street and the whole street be altered to ‘Thurso Place.’ (3) The southern portion of Castletown Street be altered to ‘Caithness Street’.”
It is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council, to be held in the City Council Chambers, situate as aforesaid, at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, the 23rd day of April, 1979. for confirmation as a Special Order.
