With activity picking-up; in Australia yesterday,! industrials were again not as! buoyant as the mining! stocks, and oils showed losses. B.H.P. gained 10c to 1205 c, before easing to close | at 1200 c before the shares 'are quoted ex-bonus, and ex--dividend. I Malleys jumped 10c to 1115 c on confirmation that - Simpson Pope would bid 120 c a share. Kelvinator eased 5c to 185 c, but Email gained 5c to 1100 c. CSR and Ansett were Isteady, but Myer eased a cent to 163 c. Western Mining fell 4c. Ampol Exploration dropped 5c and Woodside eased a cent. Interest in the Ashton Diamond venture partners was 'highlighted by a turnover of ' 240,000 shares in Melbourne, I but they closed steady at 110 c.
