Notifiable diseases
Fifteen cases of notifiable diseases were reported to the Health Department in Christchurch last week. Six cases of salmonella and five cases of food poisoning were reported. These were family cases, said the department. Two cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, one of hepatitis A, and one of bacillary dysentery were reported. Three cases of occupational skin disease and one case of impaired hearing arising from work were reported. Two separate cases of poisoning from insecticide and fungicide, and poisoning from a solvent were also reportecL
