More visitors to U.K.
[NZPA •• London The number of New Zealanders arriving in Britain as visitors increased by 15 per cent last year and is expected to rise again this year. Statistics released by the British Department of Trade on Monday showed that about 71,000 New Zealand passport-holders i — not including New Zea-
landers travelling on British passports — entered Britain last vear, up from 60,300 in 1977. The figures underlined the importance of rhe tourist industry to Britain, showing tourist spending leaving a surplus Of EBS7M (S1700M). Spending within Britain by foreign visitors increased by 7 per cent last year.
