Hello Birdie appeals tonight
Special correspondent Wellington Hello Birdie and Peter Wolfen* den look a winning combination in the Manawatu Trotting Cup, first leg of the T.A.B. double at Manawatu tonight. A relatively safe beginner Hello Birdie performed well at the last meeting on the Palmerston North track and from the outside of the front line he should be able to take up a leading position from the start. The second leg of the double, the Rongotea Pace, may fall the way of All Action. After a brief spell from racing, she should be ready for a bold sprint and with John Langdon driving will be hard to head off from the 2000 m start.
