Beef, skin, mutton prices up
Beef and mutton prices, and also lamb and sheep skin prices have been increased. The rates for prime or, heifer and cow and Ll and L2 ox and heifer beef have been raised a further 3c per kilogram and these grades now attract a stabilisation deduction of 14.706 per cent. Manufacturing ox, heifer and cow and bull prices have been increased 6c and the buffer deduction for this class of beef is now 20.149 per cent. Eight cents per kilogram has been added to the prices for the MLI, ML2, MHI, MX, and MM grades of mutton, which will also now incur a stabilisation deduction of 5.789 per cent. Prices for woolly and shorn lamb skins have been lifted another 10c, and for sheep skins 25c.
