IThe Supervisor Inventory Control is responsible for the total supervision and analysis associated with maintaining an effective inventory control system. This involves supervision of inventory control, cataloguing, monitoring and updating BCL inventory catalogue. Assistance in the formulation of inventory management policies and consultation with users in order to research and review control systems. Initiation and analysis of both manual and computer generated reports. Assessment and recommendation for changes to inventory made by user departments. Total number of personnel supervised is 6. Value of inventory is K 25 million. Number of items 55,000 The inventory is large and dispersed in a large spread physical area. It is limited by the relative remoteness of the country and reliance on shipping as a prime means of transport The position is one of two reporting to the Superintendent of Cost Control.
