Pt Chevalier takes title
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Auckland's Point Chevalier I table tennis team won the Rothmans national table tennis club championship by beating Hutt Valley’s Waterloo club 6-3.
Point Chevalier had earlier beaten Manurewa (Frankton), 8-3 and United (Christchurch) 8-3 to qualify for the final. Its players, G. Lassen, B. Lassen and G. Mackie dropped their games against Waterloo, B. Lassen and Mackie falling to the New Zealand representative, G. Murphy, and G. Lassen to T. Murphy. ■
