Lobbying urged
(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 19. It would be imperative to retain the closest possible contacts with Britain and other members of the E.E.C. over the next three years if New Zealand was to ensure that her weeds were fully appreciated, said the chairman of the Dairy Board (Mr F. L. Onion) today. The inclusion of a unanimity provision in the E.E.C. agreement emphasised the importance of continuous, vigorous and persistent representation for New Zealand’s interests within the Community, he said. Next month, Mr Onion will leave for Europe where he expects to renew discussions with British Ministers and officials on arrangements for continuing access to the British market.
