The St Andrew’s College first XI won the first match of its Australian tour, beating Geelong College (Victoria) by 64 runs. Scores.—St Andrew’s 116/5 declared (M. T. Johnston 43, P. D. Johnston 25) and 152/2 declared (R. J. Pither 89, P. E. McEwan 45 not out), Geelong 87/8 declared (M. Johnston 3/17, D. Hay 2/7) and 117 (McEwan 4/16, M. Johnston 3/24, M. Holmes 2/37).
