Floor Price For Wool Raised Id

(New Zealand Press WELLINGTON, July 25. The floor price level for greasy wool for the new selling season which began on July 1 will be 36d a pound, ex-store New Zealand, for wool offered at approved auctions in New Zealand and Britain.

Floor prices for scoured wool and grower-owned slipe wool entitled to protection under the floor price plan will be related to the corresponding greasy wool price.

The new over-all average floor price level of 36d a

pound Is Id a pound higher than that which has been operating since the beginning of the 1964-65 season. The Wool Commission said today that in fixing prices for individual types of wool with the average of 36d, the market relationship established between full-length wools and second-shear since the last floor price adjustment would be recognised. In the absence of exceptional or unforeseen circumstances the commission would continue its policy of buying in at the floor prices assessed for the various types, all wool entitled to floor-price protection, which was passed in below the floor price.
