N.Z. May Go To India

New Zealand has tentatively accepted an invitation ;to compete in the international hockey tournament in Bombay in January. I News of the invitation, released by the secretary of .the New Zealand Hockey !Association (Mr M. R. Good) I last week, was received by the association’s management comimttee last evening. The Indians offered free accommodation to the New Zealand team and "the expense angle is very encouraging,” said Mr R. A. Milne. Mr Good said that if a New Zealand hockey team “did not go somewhere, we won’t be selected for Mexico (1968 Olympic Games) by the International Hockey Federation.

“India has been proved as the best training ground,” said the chairman (Mr R. S. Jenkins) and it was agreed that other matches should be played after the tournament.
