HEREFORD SALE

Top Price 1800gns (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ July 25. The highest price of 1800 guineas, for a two-year-old bull, at last week’s national Hereford sale was far short of last year’s top price of 3500gns. The catalogue listed 30. stud animals. The top price was paid by R. F. Hutchinson and Company for G. F. Gunson and Sons, Onga Onsa bull, Ruru 279th. Action Ajax, from the Acton Stud, Gisborne, made 1500gns, and the supreme champion, Waihuka Diamond 2nd, went to Mr T. E. Davies for 1300gns. One other bull made lOOOgns. The average for bulls was 715gns.
