N.Z. Tourney Draw
Canterbury has been drawn In section II of the preliminary rounds in the New Zealand men’s basketball Invitation tournament which begins at Rotorua on August 22. It will meet the runner-up last year, Wellington A, Hamilton, Auckland B, Palmerston North, Hutt Valley and Hawke's Bay before the play-offs on the fifth day of the tournament. Its opening match will be against Palmerston North on August 22. Canterbury’s draw is: August 22 (Monday), v. Palmerston North at 10.30 a.m., v. Hawke'S Bay at 6 p.m.; August 23. v. Hutt Valley at * a.m., v. Wellington A at 8 p.m.: August 24, V. Hamilton at 4.30 p.m.; August 25, v. Auckland B at 9 a.m.: August 26, section play-offs.
