ESCAPER CAUGHT

INVERCARGILL, July 24. An Invercargill Borstal escaper, Peter Robert Howes, aged 16, was recaptured quietly today after he was seen by the assistant superintendent of the Borstal, Mr S. M. A. Ronald, about 3 p.m. Howes, who had been free since July 21, was seen by Mr Ronald, through field glasses, walking along the edge of the Invercargill estuary.
