Five In Hospital After Accidents

Five persons were admitted to Christchurch Hospital with injuries suffered in motor accidents during the week-end. Car Hits Pole.— Head injuries and shock were suffered by Henry John Kerr, of Dunsandel, when a car hit a pole on Tram road, Kaiapoi, about 5.10 p.m. on Saturday. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital. Pedestrian Injured.—A boy, Paul Hartley Owen, of 238 Breezes road, suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by a car on Norwich quay, Lyttelton, on Saturday afternoon. He was admitted to the * recovery ward of Christchurch Hospital Collision.— Leg injuries and shock were suffered by Donald Dickson, of 42 Hawkesbury

Car Hits Tree.—Elizabeth Preston, of 27 Totara street, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for head injuries after a car hit a tree early on Saturday afternoon.

Chest Injuries.—John Arthur, of 34 Ballantyne avenue, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for chest injuries after two cars collided in Yaldhurst road early last evening.

Ann Injuries.—When two cars collided at the corner of Pages and Bexley roads yesterday afternoon, Jane Thomson, of 10 Hudson street, suffered arm injuries. She was treated at Christchurch Hospital. Woman Injured.—Elizabeth

■ Mayell, of 44 Carlton Mill road, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for head injuries and shock after two cars collided at the comer of Barbadoes and Edwards I streets about 11.50 a.m. on Saturday. Treated At Hospital.—Jill Giles, of East Eyreton, was treated at Christchurch Hospital for arm injuries and shock after she was hit by a car in Ferry road near Lancaster street about 4.20 p.m. on Saturday. Collision At Corner.—When a car and a minibus collided at the comer of Tuam and Madras streets about 9.10 p.m. on Saturday, Sydney Perkin, of 4 Waitaki street, Bexley, suffered head and leg injuries. He was treated at Christchurch Hospital. Head Injuries.—Three persons suffered head injuries when two cars collided in Riccarton road on Saturday after-

Three Injured.—After two cars collided at the comer of Selwyn and Redruth streets about 6.15 p.m. on Saturday, William Murch, of Dunford street, Rakaia, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital with head injuries. Janet Murch, of the same address, suffered leg injuries and shock, and Elsie Atkinson, of 40 Buffin street, suffered head injuries. They were treated at Christchurch Hospital. Internal Injuries.—Anthony Reardon, of 6 Davidson terrace, Kaikoura, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital suffering from internal injuries after he fell from a motor-cycle on the Main North road early yesterday.
