BELLITION AND SKI

Didham Pair Favoured (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright? MELBOURNE. The Dunedin-trained pair. Belliton and Ski, are fancied in their races at Moonee Valley today, and their trainer. A. E. Didham, is looking for a winning double. Bellition was unlucky in her only start in Australia, when she finished fifth behind Court Stepper at Flemington on July 9. Today she will contest the 10-furlong Healesville Handicap, for three-year-olds. She faces a big task with the top-weight of 8-13—31 b more than she carried last time —but the opposition is not very strong. The five-year-old Sabaean gelding, Ski, should be close to peak fitness after his two earlier runs in Australia. At his first he ran fourteenth to his stablemate, Bastille, over a mile. Last time out he was fifth to Snowstream Lass over 13 furlongs. Both races were at Flemlngfion.

Ski, which is in the 13 furlong Flowerfleld Handicap, and Bellition. will be ridden by their trainer's son, E. J. Didham.
