WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL RENEWAL LOAN (MEMORIAL HIGHWAY), 1966, £6303. IT Is hereby notified that the Waimairi County Council at a meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, on Thursday, the 21st July, 1966, passed the following resolution:— “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in ft by the 'Counties Act, 1956,’ the 'Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,’ and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board, granted on the 6th July, 1966, the Council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of Six Thousand Three Hundred and Three Pounds (£6303) for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Burnside Memorial Highway Loan, 1955, of £16,817, which matures on the 14th August, 1966, subject to the following determinations:— 1. That such loan be known as the Reneweal Loan (Memorial Highway), 1966. (Hereinafter referred to as the said loan). 2. That the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed for a term of one or more years, but not exceeding ten years, provided that the total amount borrowed for any term between one and nine years both inclusive, shall not exceed eight hundred pounds. 3. That the rate of Interest that may be paid in rerespect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four and seveneighths per cent per annum for principal repayable in one to five years, five and one-eighth per cent per annum for principal repayable in six to nine years and five and one-half per cent per annum for principal repayable in ten years. 4. That all amounts borrowed shall be repaid in full in lump sums on the respective maturities thereof. 5. That the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal in respect of the said loan shall be uaid out of loan money. 6. That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent of any amount raised. 7. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a special rate of .003222 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basils of capital value) of all rateable properties within the Waimairi County. 8. That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by Debentures, and Interest Coupons in conformity with the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” or by Registered Stock. 9. That the Waimairi County Council unite with the Christchurch City Council, the Heathcote County Council, the Paparua County Council, and the Riccarton Borough Council, for the purpose of raising a Joint Loan of £50,600, to meet the redemption of that portion of the Burnside Memorial Highway Loan, 1955, due for repayment on the 14th August, 1966, and that the term of the said loan be ten years, and that the Christchurch City Council be appointed agent of the Waimairi County Council for all purposes in relation to this Council’s portion of the Joint Loan amounting to the sum of £6303.
