The unavailability of J. Armstrong and V. N. Brightwell has weakened the interest in the Canterbury closed tabla tennis championships to be held on Saturday. H. P. Holt's recent good form has been recognised by the award of top seeding in the men’s singles, but K. Ward is a little fortunate to be seeded third. Seedings are: Men's Singles.—H. P.
