Smoking
Sir, —I would thank “General Practitioner” for his enlightening letter on the damaging smoking habit. Unfortunately, the smokers will take no notice, but will continue to fill buses, restaurants, and halls with dirty fumes. It is a pity that restaurant owners could not have a non-smoking compartment; it is unpleasant having smoke puffed over one’s food by an ill-mannered smoker. Nonsmokers will have to take to snuff and then sneeze everywhere. Just imagine the row —a sneezing and smoker'scough duet!—Yours, etc., J.B.E. July 21, 1966.
