A new company, RepcoBrabham Engines Ltd., has been formed in Australia. The latest member of the Repco group, it will make and market Repco-Brab-ham racing engines, as well as developing other high-performance equipment. $ Js<
The South African Grand Prix will probably be held near Johannesburg next year, on January 28, because the organisers at the East London circuit, where it is normally held, have been unable to raise the money necessary to hold the race.
The last inter-club rally of the season, the University Motor Club’s “10 to 10” rally, was won by R. A. Royds (Morris 1100) with J. M. H. Waller (Vanguard) second, R. H. Sluis (Consul) third, and P. Tutton (Humber 80) fourth. The teams’ classification was won by the University team, with the R.A.T.E.C. team second. The morning sections were in the Yaldhurst and Burnham areas, and all competitors went astray in the map-reading. In the afternoon, timekeeping was emphasised.
