KAPUNI GAS
Cabinet Still Considering (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) told a press conference tonight that the Cabinet had still not come to any decision over the use of natural gas from Kapuni. “We had a lengthy discussion today on a report submitted by the Minister of Mines (Mr Shand) but it is a very complicated question with a tremendous amount of detail in it,” he said. “We have made no final decision yet but we have made considerable progress,” Mr Holyoake told the press conference. Replying to a questioner he said he could not state when the Cabinet expected to make a final decision.
