Won Wool Award

Mrs P. MacDonald, of Ahaura, Westland, a young married woman with a family of three, has won a supreme national award in the homespun section of the 1966 coordinated Country Women’s woolcrafts awards competition sponsored by the Wool Board. Her winning article was made from raw wool material and dyed in five different autumn shades.

Supreme awards were.— Dressmaking section:—Mrs J. W. Jamieson (Paeroa), Mrs A. Mackintosh (Havelock North), and Mrs M. K. Challles (Nelson).

Handknitting section: —Mrs D. A. Phillips (Te Kuiti), Mrs J. R. Wright (Duntroon), and Mrs K. Russell (Helensville). Homespun section:—Mrs V. Brook (Balcluitha), and Mrs P. MacDonald (Ahaura).
