Record Sales For Manthel
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 20. Group net profit of Manthel Holdings, Wellington-based motor-car franchise holders, jumped by 23 per cent to a record £115,564 in the year to March 31, the annual accounts, released today, show. The result was achieved after record new car sales and total sales for the group of £4.Bm. As announced, ordinary dividend is raised from 11 to 12 per cent. The higher payment requires £12,805 more at £36,000 but is still covered 3.2 times by the peak profit Earning rate on steady ordinary capital of £300,000 moves up from 31.3 to 38.5 per cent and the rate on ordinary shareholders’ funds rises from 18.1 to 19.4 per cent
Firth Concrete.—Directors of Firth Concrete, Hamilton concrete products maker, recommended a final 5 per cent divident, making 10 per cent for the year; payable August 10, ex dividend August 3. Last year dividend was also 10 per eent (P.A.)
