Death In Fire

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. A man died in a fire which swept through two rooms of a house in Massey road, Manure wa, just after 2 p.m.today. He was Bent Farndsen, aged 33, single, a driver, of 117 Massey road, Manurewa. It is believed he was overcome by smoke from the fire. Police and fire authorities were called to investigate the cause of the blaze which was put out by firemen from Manurewa and Otahuhu.

More Hepatitis.—A further six cases of infective hepatitis have been reported at Tokoroa. The total is now 24. To help combat the disease the Matamata County Council Health Inspector, Mr W. J. McNicholas, intends introducing a new Inspection procedure.—Tokoroa, July 19.
