■ (From Our Oton Reporter) WELLINGTON, July 20. The Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel is now officially a subsidised highway. At today’s meeting the National Roads Board passed a remit, putting into effect the board’s resolution of May 23. Putting the motion, which was carried unanimously, the chairman (the Minister of Works, Mr Allen) said the Tunnel Authority was “quickly into the job of reducing the tolls.”
