REACTION AT U.N.
Decision On S.-W. Africa (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK July 20. A special session of the General Assembly, devoted exclusively to South-west Africa, was among possibilities studied at the United Nations by African strategists, after the World Court judgment on Monday. Thirty-six African members of the United Nations on Monday appointed an eightnation strategy committee to consider further measures, after denouncing the Court’s rejection of complaints by Ethiopia and Liberia about South Africa’s administration of the territory. The court ruled that they had no legal right or interest in the matter. Mr F. Arkhurst, of Ghana, chairman of the 36-nation group and one of the eight strategists, said that a special session could be held shortly before the opening of the regular session on September 20.
