July 19, 1966. Traffic Rules

Sir,—Why is it such a dreadful crime to drive in the suburbs at 30 miles an hour? I frequently have drivers give a loud blast of the horn and a glare as they pass me at 40 to 45 miles an hour. They also literally hurl their cars from lane to lane if they think they can get through quicker; then, at the lights, are half-way across before they get the green light. Why all this rush to get to a destination a little quicker?— Yours, etc., ROAD CODE FOLLOWER. July 20, 1966.
