AUST. TRADE COMMISSION
Appointment To Staff Mr R. Green, of Christchurch, has been appointed to the new post of marketing officer of the Australian Trade Commission in the South Island. This brings the staff of the commission to six. In announcing the appointment yesterday, the Trade Commissioner (Mr M. G. B.
Coultas) said that Mr Green would be directly concerned with the promotion of transTasman trade. Mr Green, he said, would work closely with South Island importers and manufacturers in the development of trade. This would allow the Australian Trade Commission to give a much more detailed and specific service to South Island importers. The expansion of the trade commission would help both those interested in importing and those interested in exporting to Australia. Mr Green is an Englishman who came to New Zealand 10 years ago. He was previously a group co-ordinator for A. M. Satterthwaite and Company, Ltd.
