Scholarship To U.S.

Heather Ashford, aged 17, of Rangi-ruru School, has been awarded an American Field Service scholarship. She will leave New Zealand at the end of the month to attend Hartridge School at Plainfield, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs W. B. Ashford, of Rakaia. Her “foster parents” will be Mr and Mrs D. R. Gosch, who have two children. Mr Gosch is a metallurgist and his wife is a parttime art instructor at Hartridge.
