Diamond Harbour Mail

The Post Office will be asked by the Lyttelton Borough Council if a mail delivery service can be instituted over the whole of Diamond Harbour. The council’s help in the matter had been requested by the Diamond Harbour Burgesses’ Association. Cr. E. A. Camfield said many residents had to pick up their mail from the post office and this was difficult for many, particularly those who worked all day. There were no post office boxes.
