TALKS IN BONN

Bourguiba On Visit rNZP-.A.-Reuter—Copyripht» BONN, July 19. President Bourguiba of Tunisia is today holding talks with the West German Chancellor, Dr. Erhard, which are expected to span Arab-German relations and possible Tunisian associate membership of the European Common Market. The President received a warm red-carpet welcome on his arrival in Bonn yesterday for a four-day visit. West Germany has openly expressed gratitude to Tunisia for its refusal last year to follow most Arab states in breaking off relations with Bonn for recognising Israel. A Government spokesman denied, however, that Bonn has asked President Bourguiba to act as a mediator in an attempt to re-establish relations with Arab countries.
