Dogs

Sir, —Sometimes singly and sometimes in a pack, two golden labradors, a black one, and a smaller black and white mongrel are damaging gardens in the Glandovey, Jeffreys, Bryndwr, Fendalton road area, and in Thornycroft and Waiwetu streets. Already a child has been knocked off a bicycle and there have been several near-accidents when cars have swerved to avoid them. These beautiful dogs are too large for the average garden and should not be kept unless owners exercise them under control. To leave them at large is callous behaviour towards the dogs as well as to residents and motorists.—Your, etc., NEARLY A VICTIM. July 18, 1966.
