REPAIRS TO DREDGE
Harbour Work Delayed CV.Z. Press Association> GISBORNE, July 18. The Westminster Dredging Company, the contractors, have not yet been able to find a replacement dredge for the Foremost Prince for the Gisborne Harbour Board £860,000 port development scheme. The chairman, Mr Dawson Crisp, said the chief mechanical engineer of the parent company in London had been sent to Lyttelton to decide whether repairs to the Foremost Prince could be speeded up.
He said that the Gisborne Lightering and Stevedoring Company had expressed concern at the delay.
