CASE OF FOOD POISONING

Investigation By Department

The Health Department is investigating the cause of a case of salmonellosis which occurred in the Christchurch health district last week. It is a form of food poisoning, and affected a woman in Riccarton. Also notified last week were seven cases of bacillary dysentery—l2 fewer cases than in the previous week. Those affected last week were two adults and three children in one family, and two young boys in another family, all in the Waimairi area.
