Council Lets Contracts A tender of £9979 by the Isaac Construction Company, Ltd., was accepted by the City Council last evening for reconstruction of the airport apron at the Christchurch airport. The tender was the lowest of five, which ranged to £13,473. In each case the tenderer said the work could be completed by the specified date, October 31.

Subject to final approval of the Civil Aviation Department, the council accepted a tender of £6317 by Pye Ltd., for the installation of closedcircuit television. Three tenders were received, the others being for £7321 and £8221. The installation is to give information at the air terminal on arrivals and departures.

Another contract let was for an addition to No. 3 hangar for the Canterbury Aero Club. The council accepted a tender of £1950 by C. Wessel and Company. It was the lowest of three.
