Garcon Wins Again

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.AJ SYDNEY. The New Zealand-bred gelding, Garcon, gained his third win in succession at Rosehill on Saturday, and is being tipped as one of the brightest Derby prospects racing in AustraHa. Garcon, a heavily backed 6/4 on favourite, won the sevenfurlong MacArthur Quality Handicap by three-quarters of a length from Fruit Cup (16/1), with the 20/1 shot Vesta a similar distance away third. Garcon is by Rawalpindi IC out of Festive Air. His owner, Mr D. Chrystal, Jun., bought Festive Air In New Zealand while she was in foal to Rawalpindi, and Garcon was the resulting offspring.
