KUMAI’S PLANS
Staying At Templeton “The Press’’ Special service DUNEDIN Kumai, winner of the Trentham and Winter Hurdles at the Wellington Racing Club s meeting, is due to return to the South Island tonight. Mr T. K. S. Sidey’s Kurdistan gelding will be given a few days off at the trotting establishment of D. Nyhan, at Templeton. He will then be lightly exercised by Mra D. D. Nyhan until he rejoins 11. A. Anderton’s team at Riccarton after the South Canterbury Hunt Club'i meeting next Monday. Kumai will miss his engagement in the Teschemaker Steeplechase at the South Canterbury Hunt meeting and his next start will probably be in the Jumpers’ Flat on the opening day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting. He will then attempt the Grand National Hurdles, an event in which he finished second to Bagush last yeai.
